About the Decoder-In-Chief

Sped Decoded is a special education consulting practice rooted in a simple yet powerful belief: every child deserves to be seen, supported, and celebrated for who they are. Founded by Lenesha Jones, a dedicated Special Education Instructional Specialist with over a decade of experience in urban education, Sped Decoded helps families and schools navigate the complexities of special education with clarity, compassion, and confidence.

Lenesha brings a deep understanding of compliance, inclusive practices, and culturally responsive teaching—paired with a heart for advocacy and a passion for equity. Her work centers the unique needs of Black students and other marginalized learners, helping stakeholders build bridges between policy and practice, data and dignity, school systems and student success.

Whether you’re a parent trying to make sense of your child’s IEP, an educator striving for inclusion, or a school seeking lasting change, Sped Decoded offers personalized, evidence-based support to help you move forward with purpose.

From IEP review and advocacy to professional development, inclusion audits, and family workshops, our mission is to decode the language of special education—and empower you with the tools to transform it.

Because when everyone understands the system, every child can thrive.
